Hope CEntre: Renew

We have had the privilege of being able to deliver food parcels throughout the city, and beyond, since April of 2020. No-one could have predicted the pandemic that enveloped the world, and the huge impact it would have on people’s health and well-being. We recognised that this was a moment where we as a church could demonstrate the biblical compassion that Jesus’ modelled to us, and meet the needs of those who found themselves in financial difficulty.

We will now begin a new phase of our immediate response. Many people have been able to avail of the food parcel programme without any previous requirements or referrals. At this stage we are going to introduce a time-based limit on the amount of food parcels that each individual/household can receive.

We are calling this 3-in-3.

The food parcels will now almost double in size, so that each one will be able to feed a household for 2 weeks. These parcels can be collected or delivered three times within a three month period.

After receiving the third parcel, we will then invite you to enrol in the Renew Programme, where you will then have access to the services outlined below.

The Renew programme is built on a foundation of equipping people to move towards becoming more financially independent. This programme will include:

    • A video based cooking course, which will teach participants how to cook well on a budget.

    • CAP Money Management - a short course developed by Christians Against Poverty, which will teach how to create a budge and manage finances well.

    • Enrolment will also provides access to a Social Supermarket, which gives access to groceries at vastly reduced cost.

To enrol in the Renew programme to access the Social Supermarket, CAP Money Management course, and Pure Tasty cookery course, please fill out the form below and a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a call.
